Serie A 2011/2012: Top Five Goals of Week 34

Serie A returned this week after the postponed fixtures off last week after the sad death of on loan Udinese midfielder Piermario Morosini at Livorno. This weekend action on the pitch will be remembered for Juventus putting a brilliant performance at home to Roma. Off the pitch it will be remembered for the sour scenes in Genoa where the Ultras made their mark and disrupted the game against Siena which they were losing.

Here are the top five goals from week 34

5. Zlatan Ibrahimovic AC Milan vs. Bologna

A late equaliser which was needed for AC Milan in there push for the Scudetto, Urby Emanuleson crossed in from the left which found Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the back post who scissors kicked into the bottom corner.

 

4. Luca Giorgi Genoa vs. Siena

What a goal for your first goal in Serie A Football. The ball was played from the left to Giorgi who was on the right hand side of the area, Giorgi the cut in from the right and fired in a unstoppable left footed drive which left Sebastian Frey flat footed.

 

3. Claudio Marchiso Juventus vs. Roma

The fourth goal that nailed the coffin in to Roma, a lovely back heel from Mirko Vucinic found Claudio Marchisio who curled home a precise effort into the bottom corner past Gianluca Curci.

 

2. Arturo Vidal Juventus vs. Roma

This was the Chilean second goal of the game and both were crackers. Mirko Vucinic was involved again as he laid the ball off to Vidal on the right hand angle of the area who then fired home a blistering effort past Maarten Stekelenburg.

 

1 Alejandro Gomez Catania vs Atalanta

A definite contender for goal of the season along with goal of the week, the Argentine Striker let fly from thirty yards that flew into the top corner.
