Serie A Week 19 Goals Of The Week

We are half way through the Serie A season; Juventus were crowned winter champions after a hard fought 2-0 away win at Atalanta. Roma hit five on Saturday evening at home against Cesena where Francesco Totti hit his 211th goal for the club. Inter Milan won their eighth straight game in all competitions after defeating Lazio at the San Siro 2-1.

After some great mid-week performances in both the Coppa and Copa here are five goals of the week from Italian Serie A you decide if they hold their own.

5. Eder Roma vs. Cesena

This was Cesena only goal of the game and it was a wonderful goal. A ball over the top which split the Roma defence and Eder capitalised by lofting the ball over the Roma keeper before controlling and rolling into an empty net.

4. Francesco Totti Roma vs. Cesena

This goal was his 211th goal for club and broke Gunnar Nordhal record, Miralem Pjanic crossed in from the right but the Cesena defence cleared. The ball fell to Erik Lamela who crossed it to Francesco Totti scoring on the volley.

3. Giampaolo Pazzini Inter Milan vs. Lazio

A brilliant goal giving Inter Milan the win in this more important game. A defensive header from Lucio caused chaos in the Lazio defence and Giampaolo Pazzini ghosted in and lobbed the ball over the on rushing Federico Marchetti.

2. Antonio Di Natale Udinese vs. Catania

Good work down the left by Pablo Armero and Mauricio Isla and Isla played in Armero who broke down the left and crossed in for Antonio Di Natale who volleyed home brilliantly.

1 Emanuele Giaccherini Atalanta vs. Juventus

A wonderful goal and the goal of the weekend as Juventus grabbed a late second goal to kill the game off. Andrea Pirlo played a square ball in for youngster Luca Marrone who flicked the ball onto the on rushing Giaccherini who volleyed home first time brilliantly.
