Podcast: Alexis Sanchez And Pato Light Up Serie A

The Italian Football FanCast is the podcast for fans of Serie A and Calcio.

On this edition of the Italian Football FanCast, we look at Milan’s charge for the Scudetto as they steamrollered Napoli at the San Siro thanks to a wonderful performance from Alexandre Pato. Our roving reported Paolo Rusmini fill us in on all the action.

Unfortunately for Kris Voakes, Palermo’s match with Udinese was full of goals, but the seven that were scored were all for the Zebrete as Alexis Sanchez grabbed four and Antonio Di Natale three in the rout. The result signalled the end of Delio Rossi’s tenure as Rosanero coach with Serse Cosmi taking the reigns until the end of the season.

The fortunes of Juventus go from bad to worse as a Marco Di Vaio brace gave Bologna a well earned victory over the Old Lady, sending the home fans into deep depression and some calling for a return to the club of Marcelo Lippi and Luciano Moggi. Chances of a comeback?

Finally, we take a look at fortunes below the top division with Serie B and Lega Pro in the spotlight.

    Dov…I’m confused.

Dov, you do the podcasts. Yet ” Dave ” is the writer. I remember Dave left the Italian Football Fancast, when is he coming back? I think he was the Roma fan.

    • David Schiavone says:

      Hi Ted,

Dave doesn’t do anything anymore he left at the start of the season to pursue other interests. Who is this imposter Dave you speak of?

  2. Ted says:

    HUH???????

    Is Dov, your nickname, Dave….

See what I mean? There’s two Daves. The Roma fan, who left. And Dov, who’s real name is Dave, no? lol.

    • David Schiavone says:

Well yes Dov = David (not Dave)

And Dave the Roma fan left, and his name is also David, but he is no more - in a podcast sense

      haha

  3. Ted says:

    Makes sense Dov.

Any idea when the Serie A weekly podcast is coming out?

    • David Schiavone says:

No idea, Kev is sick as far as Im aware so you will have to make do with number 2 ;)

  4. Ted says:

I enjoyed the new podcast Dov..then I watched Kris’s 6 day adventure in Italy…pretty hectic.

  5. David Schiavone says:

That was done on a laptop camera, so imagine what he must have looked like… carrying a laptop around talking to himself haha.

It is indeed, I have had a sample and wonder where he gets the energy from.

  6. Ted says:

I would love that job, sadly, that will never happen. Kris lives football, 24-7….
