Serie A Week 12 Review: AC Milan Clicking Into Gear

AC Milan and Juventus are on a fantastic run of form as they both recorded brilliant wins in week 12. Juventus winning away at Lazio 1-0 and AC Milan winning  4-0  against the flying donkeys Chievo on Sunday night, all four goals hitting the target in the first half at the San Siro.

Friday 25th November
There was a Friday night game in Italy and Roma travelled to Udine to play Udinese and came away with nothing. Udinese won the game 2-0 thanks to two late goals in the final ten minutes. Antonio Di Natale got the first goal and in the beginning of added time Pablo Armero broke down the left and crossed in for Mauricio Isla to tap home.

Saturday 26th November
Saturday was a busy day in Italy as there were four games played as two in the afternoon and two in the evening. Catania won at the end away at Lecce thanks to a 90th minute winner by Pablo Barrientos. The other afternoon game was Novara beat Parma at home 2-1 thanks to a winner from Marco Rigoni ten minutes from time. Novara equaliser was a record breaking goal Raffaele Rubino goal as he was the first player to score for a single club in four different divisions. The two night games Juventus won away at Lazio thanks to a goal midway through the first half from Simone Pepe gave Juventus the winner. Napoli drew 1-1 away at Atalanta and they needed a late equaliser from Edinson Cavani to save them. German Denis came back to haunt his former club by netting the opener. The Argentine striker is going through a purple patch at the moment.

Sunday 27th November
Cagliari drew at home to Bologna, Marco Di Vaio opened the scoring and then Daniele Conti equalised from the penalty sport nine minutes from time. Cesena winning streak continues to two games thanks to two goals from Adrian Mutu in the second half gave them a fine victory over Genoa. Palermo fantastic home record continues as they dispatched Fiorentina 2-0. Goals in each half by Fabrizio Miccoli and Josip Ilicic gave Delio Rossi return a painful one. Inter Milan huffed and puffed away at Siena and got a 90th minute winner by sub Luc Castaignos gave Inter the three points.

The last game of the week came from the San Siro as AC Milan dispatched Chievo in 45 minutes to win the game 4-0. First half goals from Thiago Silva, Zlatan Ibrahimovic with two which included one from the penalty spot and a goal from Alexandre Pato.

Juventus ended the weekend on top of the table by one point, closely followed by AC Milan and Udinese who are looking to Juventus slip up anytime soon.
