Okay so the picture wasn’t taken this week yet it still embodies current love for Lazio’s summer purchase Miroslav Klose.  The German international with four goals from six starts has quickly become a fan and player favorite, turning draw results into three point victories including the win over city rivals AS Roma last match day.

Of course this hasn’t all happened without certain controversy being reported by major news outfits,  A banner reading ‘Klose mit uns,’ which echoed the military slogan used by the Nazis ‘Gott mit uns’ (God with us), was held in the Lazio curva last Serie A match day at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico, where Klose scored a injury time winner. The letters s were written in pronounced gothic style, used by the German SS.

Klose was quoted as saying. “Politics must stay outside the stadium.”

Manager Eddy Reja has his own remarks to make on the player with,

“He is extraordinary, He is very important to us.” said to Gazzetta dello Sport.

“He leads a healthy life and has his feet firmly on the ground. Miroslav is a true athlete.”
