Video: Goal Highlights From AS Roma 3-2 Bayern Munich

On the whole an excellent performance by the Giallorossi as they battle back from a 2-0 deficit to grab the win with a goal from walk on captain Francesco Totti.

The winning penalty was awarded to Roma in the final moments after Bayern goalkeeper Thomas Kraft sent Marco Borriello tumbling inside the box.

Bayern ran out 2-0 winners last time the teams went head to head on Matchday 1, with goals from Thomas Mueller and Miroslav Klose but this time the tables are turned on our group leaders who give back all 3 points.

This loss does not sacrifice group positioning as a consequence of Bayern’s lack of ability to defending the opening lead. Relieve for the players and relieve for their manager Louis Van Gaal.

In the other group E match from Tuesday, Basel defeated CFR Cluj 1-0 forcing qualification to the final match day for Roma who sit 3 points behind leaders Bayern on 9 points while Basel sit third on 6 points.

Roma play away to CFR Cluj on Wednesday December 8th who sacked their manager Sorin Cartu after the Basel defeat. During the match Cartu was caught on film violently attacking the team dugout.

A fantastic game, and all I can say is what a come back. Scoring that early goal in the second half turned the whole game around, and I think that is when they thought that they can’t lose this game. Bayern shot themselves in the foot when Kraft came off his line and made bad mistake.
