What a mess this year's World Cup is starting to be, least from the missing superstar perspective.

Just heard Ivory Coast's Didier Drogba suffered a fractured right forearm in a pre-tournament match against Japan. For England No Rio Ferdinand, for Italy no Andrea Pirlo (due to miss at least the opening match against Paraguay)and no Giuseppe Rossi left at home and completely off Italian manager Lippi's list.

Another left at home is Inter Milan captain and Argentine legend, Javier Zanetti while Beckham, Ronaldinho, Adriano, Roberto Carlos, Michael Ballack, Michael Essien, John Mikel Obi as well as many others are destined to watch the tournament from the the sidelines.
