Football lost creditability Sunday night, when in Rome on where Lazio played Inter and the whole stadium celebrated both Inter goals. It made Jose Mourinho unhappy and Lazio player Christian Ledesma looked pig sick in the crowd watching the game with all Lazio fans cheering for him. I think the only 2 players to come out with any decency was Fernando Muslera and Mauro Zarate for Lazio. Inter dominated the match from the start and the two goals came from ex Roma player Walter Samuel and Thiago Motta with the over. As Inter climb back to the top the Roma fans and staff will never lets this down for Lazio
Roma had the chance to take back top spot on Saturday evening against Parma away from home. They did just that winning 2-1 and thanks to ESPN for showing this game. Francesco Totti with the opener with a brilliant lob. Rodrigo Taddei got the 2nd with a header from a Totti assist. Parma made it interesting with 9 minutes to go when David Lanzafame nodded in unmarked to make it 2-1. Luiz Jimenez was sent off in added time after picking up 2 yellows. Roma got the win they needed after loosing last week at home to Sampdoria.
AC Milan now look like they have secured 3rd and Champions league football for next season after picking up a 1-0 win over Fiorentina. A late Ronaldinho penalty 12 mintues from time gave AC Milan the lead after Koldrup fouled Borriello. Massimo Ambrosini was sent off in late in the game after picking up his 2nd yellow card for a foul on Alberto Gilardino.
Sampdoria won their 5th game in a row and kept up the dream of champions league football by beating Livorno 2-0 thanks to goal by Antonio Cassano and a wonder goal by Spurs reject Rieto Ziegler. It does now look like that Atalanta have thrown it away now and after a 1-1 draw with Bologna Serie A safety is now in there own hands. Also a Jamie Valdes missed penalty early in the game made it all a bad day for Atalanta. Bari thrashed Genoa 3-0 at home thanks to goals from Meggiorini, Castillio and Barretto. The 3 goals came late on in the game and Bari totally deserved the victory. Cagliari and Udinese played out a 4 goal thriller and fought back to make it 2-2. Lazzari then Di Natale and Sanchez with the goals in the 1st half and then Jeda got the equaliser for the home side.
Juventus champions league dreams are now over after 2 points dropped away at Catania. I think the Europa league is now looking the final call for the old lady. A 1-1 draw and it was Matias Silvestre gave Catania the lead and early in the 2nd half Claudio Marchisio equalised for the old lady. A straight shoot out for 6th between Napoli and Juventus is on the cards and Napoli are winning the battle thanks to a crucial 2-1 away win at Chievo thanks to German Denis and Lavezzi goal 5 minutes from time gave the team from Naples a crucial 3 points. Palermo away win at Siena has relegated the home team to Serie B and has entitled Palermo European football for next season. The 2 main strikers for Palermo got the goals Cavani and Miccoli with the goals. Calaio goal 10 minutes from time for Siena gave them little hope.
