Three matches to watch today are Livorno vs Roma, Bologna vs Sampdoria and Udinese vs Palermo. All three are due to kickoff in an hour and the punters have received a reprieve as this is spring forward Sunday with clocks moving ahead this morning. Confused? You should be as most punters keep a close eye on the clock before placing bets. Onto the matches

Livorno (LLLLD) vs Roma (DDLWL)

Far Left meets Leftist Captialista who will win? Serse Cosmi beat his beloved Roma earlier this season, but the situation at the two clubs has most definitely changed. I’m placing my bet on Roma to succeed today. A bit tired for Roma last week against Milan but many holes to fill, and luckily for them and AC Milan scudetto leaders Inter could only manage to scratch out a point against their opposition. Roma will draw additional strength in knowing Inter Milan has again faltered with their Friday defeat to Catania, losing 1-3.

Negative - the Giallorossi are still missing club talisman Francesco Totti.

Most likely we will see Luca Toni in the Roma front line, he seems to score against Livorno. The tall target-man has scored seven goals in ten games against the Tuscany club. By the way, those 2 recent loses for Roma, were in Europa competition not domestic play.

Livorno players, Pulzetti and Galante are out with the flu and Raimondi will sit out a suspension Moro will come in for Pulzetti on their midfield. C Lucarelli will start upfront, with one of Tavano, Di Gennaro or Danilevicius joining him.

FT win AS Roma

Bologna (WWLWD) vs Sampdoria (WLDWW)

The home side has been absence one Mr. Di Vaio, yet have managed two wins on the trot against higher caliber teams in Napoli and Genoa. Bologna defended well against Napoli and once in the lead they maintained a dominance making themselves difficult to overcome. I suspect no changes to the lineup from last week.

Cassano is playing again for Sampdoria, coming on from the bench last week. Will we see him start this time round? Unsure about that, but perhaps his integration will finally inspire. Sampdoria defender Reto Ziegler is back from suspension. The Swiss player has dressed 26 times this season for club, more than any other teammate. Look to Pazzini to score for the visitors as he continues his run at top goalscorer.

The home side are favored, but a like the visitors right now so lets settle for both to score and the Over.

Over 2.5

Udinese (DLWLL) vs Palermo (WWWLW)

Palermo playing in good form at the moment winning away to Juventus 2 matches ago (granted Juve do have problems) I’m leaning toward the visitors however all good things come to an end so caution here. Udinese are a better side then their record explains but check final lineups as Pepe is definitely out with possibly defenders Coda and Isla also absent. For Palermo Pastore is a major injury doubt while Cassani will be back in their defence. Score draw then.
