On Saturday evening one of the biggest games of the season was played in Rome in front of 70,000, it was the home side that come out on top. Claudio Ranieri got one over Mourinho when Roma defeated Inter 2-1. Daniele De Rossi opener after 17 minutes is what Roma needed when he bundled in after a Burdisso header was mishandled by Julio Cesar. Inter then fought back in to the game peppering the Roma goal and after Samuel and Milito hit the bar, the equalizer came after a bit of misfortune. 3 players were in a offside position when Sneijder played through the ball. Milito then knocked in Sneijder cross to level the game. Luca Toni then swerved the game in Roma way after he picked up a cross come shot by Rodrigo Taddei and spun into the finish by Julio Cesar. Inter nearly came away with a point after Milito hit the post from 15 yards out.

Once again Ac Milan failed the chance to close on Inter and Roma as they drew 1-1 at home to Lazio. A Marco Borriello penalty gave Ac Milan the lead after 18 mintues after Flamini was fouled in the area by Kolarov. Stephen Lichsteiner equalised for the away team 12 minutes before half time after he was quickest when a Luca Antonini clearance was blocked.

Palermo defeated Bologna and it was the Fabrizio Miccoli show. His hat-trick ensured Palermo their 1st win since March 7th. Champions league football could be hitting Scilly and Palermo have to thank Miccoli for his masterclass at the weekend.

Chievo and Parma played out a 0-0 draw but both teams hit the woodwork. De Paula for the flying donkeys and Bojinov for Parma. An emphatic 4-1 home win for Fiorentina over Udinese gives them the hope of European football for next season. Vargas, Gilardino, Santana and Jovetic for the Viola and the solo strike from Pepe for Udinese, who are facing a relegation battle. Juventus put some trouble times behind them by beating strugglers Atalanta 2-1 in Turin. A brilliant Alex Del Piero free kick gave them the lead, but Atalanta pegged them back after old Juventus boy Nicola Amourso levelled. Then with 10 minutes to go up popped Felipe Melo to nod home and celebrated by acknowledging the home fans

Livorno and Bari played out a 1-1 draw but only thanks to a late leveller by Francesco Tavano. Napoli kept up their champions league hopes by beating Catania 1-0 thanks to a tap in by Paolo Cannavaro. Sampdoria dropped points at home drawing 1-1 with Cagliari and now are in 5th place. Guberti and Nene the goal scorers. Siena and Genoa played out a 0-0 at the Franchi but both teams had plenty of chances.

I am a Roma fan as well and i have been following the club since 2003 with the attack minded football with Totti and Cassano.
