I think most AC Milan and Roma fans would like to say thank you to Genoa for keeping this title race still on. Last night's game at the San Siro finished 0-0 and it was the 1st time in 12 years that Inter have failed to hit the net in two successive home games. Samuel Eto'o was dropped for Goran Pandev is the starting XI. Genoa started the game brightly tested out Julio Cesar on few occasions, then Inter got themselves back into the game after starting poorly when Balotelli had his effort over the bar. Inter rarely got into the game as Genoa ran this show in the 2nd half as both Rodrigo Palacio and Marco Rossi missed simple chances. Mario Balotelli got himself in the bad books again as his diving antics went array.
On the Saturday night game was the biggest game of the week when 2nd place AC Milan traveled to 3rd place Roma. The game finished 0-0 as well. AC Milan was much of the better team in game. If only Klass Jan Huntelaar could finish Milan rewards could of been greater. Roma started the game brightly with both De Rossi and Julio Baptista having efforts denied by Abbiati. But the next 80 minutes of play were all AC Milan and has the most of the chances with Ronaldinho and Huntelaar most culprit. Riise almost stole it for the home side when his effort stung the palms of Abiatti in stoppage time.
Juventus have not climbed up to 4 in the league with a 2-1 away win at Fiorentina. Diego opened up the scoring after 120 seconds questions were asked as he did look a tad offside. Former Juve old boy levelled up when Marco Marchionni umarked headed home from 7 yards. With 20 minutes to go Juventus took all 3 points when Fabio Grosso netted the winner past Frey.
Atalanta and Udinese played out a 0-0 draw in Bergamo. Bari ended their bad run of form after defeating Chievo 1-0 when new signing Javier Castillo with the only goal of the game. Bologna defeated champions league contenders Napoli 2-1 with all the goals coming in the 1st 15 minutes of the game. Old Napoli boy Marcelo Zalayeta opened the scoring and then Adailton doubled the lead. Two minutes later Napoli pulled one back when Leandro Rinaudo header unmarked from a Lavezzi cross.
Cagliari and Catania shared a 4 goal thriller sharing the points as it finished 2-2. Palermo beat there Scillian rivals Livorno thanks to a late goal by Fabrizio Miccoli. Sampdoria endured more pain for Lazio inflicting a 2-1 defeat when Maurio Zarate picked up a red card. Siena and Parma both played out a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Franchi
