I'm a wee bit reluctant predicting any outcome this match-day especially after last week which tabled five draw results with all under 2.5 goals. Add to this the mid-week European madness which included Juventus, Inter, AC Milan, Fiorentina, Genoa, Lazio and Roma and stamina of even the top clubs will be questioned this weekend.
Palermo vs Juventus
The visitors emptied their tanks in midweek, grinding out a nil- nil result against Bundesliga Bayern Munich. The Turin defence was severely stretched in the first half, but the Bianconeri were ready to give their utmost. Amauri, Zebina and C Poulsen will play from the start this time but their elder statesman Del Piero is out of action.
I can see Juventus being slightly out of focus down south on Sunday yet Buffon between the sticks is always sharp and currently is in better than normal form.
Simon Kjaer, the Palermo centre-back, is a major injury doubt and he could be replaced by Goian. Edinson Cavani will probably be preferred to Igor Budan upfront and coach Walter Zenga has yet to decide which players will play on the Palermo midfield. Time for Palermo to play a really big game. Look for a low scoring encounter (contrary to what others predict) and lay Palermo to not lose.
Possible line-ups
Palermo (4-3-1-2): Sirigu; Balzaretti, Bovo, Kjær, Cassani; Bresciano, Migliaccio, Nocerino; Pastore; Miccoli, Cavani
Juventus (4-3-1-2): Buffon; Grosso, Chiellini, Legrottaglie Zebina; Poulsen, Melo, Camoranesi; Diego; Trézéguet, Amauri
