Genoa and Fiorentina continue to battle for fourth position as both win on match day 34. In the Genoa derby David Milito scored another 3 goals taking him to 19 on the top goalscorers chart. The Argentinian should have scored a fourth goal but Sampdoria keeper Castellazzi was able to make an incredible one-handed save to deny the South American. After slipping from his defender at the top of the box, Milito swiveled quickly switching the ball to his right foot,and placed (what seemed an impossible strike to stop) the ball just inside the post, low and away from Castellazzi. Milito is just two goals behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Di Vaio in the race for this year's golden boot award.

Genoa Derby Highlights




Juventus slip another 2 points behind AC Milan after drawing Lecce 2-2. For much of the game the Old Lady trailed their visitors and required second half goals from their Czech veteran Pavel Nedved to hold Lecce at bay.

Finally, five-star Milan beat Catania 2-0 and keep stride with Inter. Once again Pippo Inzaghi proves his detractors wrong and continued to be the poacher extreme scoring his 14th goal of the season.
Inzaghi had at least two more excellent opportunities in front of goal with one hitting the post, the other over the bar. Club Vice-president Adriano Galliani spoke to Sportmediaset after the match, “Inter are more consistent, but we are playing the better football,” Thanks to Juventus' 2-2 draw with Lecce, the Rossoneri have extended their lead to four points.

At one point TV cameras panned the seating area where Galliani was sitting to record his disappointment as Inzaghi failed to convert the additional chances. It felt to me like the entire club was urging Inzaghi on in the goal race.
