The Day After Champions League - Inter vs Roma
Not much I want to say about Inter right now or Roma for that matter. It would have been nice to see the Italian sides make a strong start in the Champions League Final 16 on Wednesday, but it wasn’t to be.
This is not to say it’s over for the Nerazzurri or Giallorossi, or even the Bianconeri, after all both Roma and Juventus have home advantage for the return leg and since their English opponents couldn’t finish their visitors off losing by a 1-goal deficit only, it’s still game on.
Roma and Juventus have been known to turn things around on home turf, Roma’s thrashing of Chelsea 3-1 at home during the last round is proof enough it can be done so don’t rush to the bookies yet my boys.
However, one thing I will comment on that needs immediate attention by Roma manager Luciano Spalletti, and it’s said a image says a thousand words…
Turning to Inter
Inter kept a clean sheet at the San Siro with their 0-0 result against Manchester United. And now, ManU short an away goal, will have to be very careful defensively went the clubs meet at Old Trafford in two weeks time. You can bet Mourinho will have his side pumped, no butterflies this time around.
BIG SERIE A MATCHUP - The Weekend Interlude
Inter vs Roma this weekend will have both sides looking for something to take them out of the punch-drunk state both are floundering in so perhaps will see a big score something like 2-3, or 3-1, which will hopefully wake both sides up so they can be heros come Final 16 LEG-2.
