Jose Mourinho would love to be reunited with Chelsea striker Drogba, who was one of his most trusted stars during his time at the Bridge.
There as been much talk amongst EPL pundits on the recent poor form at Chelsea with the club slipping to third in the standings and a potential free fall. Champions League action resumes later this month and things could get more embarrassing for last years finalists when they face Italian contenders Juventus.
At the beginning of the season it looked less likely Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich would allow any transfer of players to Inter and Mourinho, but after this week's loan move by the London side for Ricardo Quaresma, the deep freeze on relations is over.
In his 12 appearances for the Blues Drogba has scored only once this season. Under a renewed partnership with Mourinho I'm sure playing time would easily double as a regular first XI, helping the Ivory Coast international who Mourinho has indicated as a, very "special" player adaptable to his style, regain prior form. With the January transfer window now ended we'll have to wait until June to see if this move is in the cards but I'm of the opinion it is and the next question to ask would be... will Michael Essien join him?
