Former Juventus Midfielder Conte Attacked By Fans

Posted by Kevin Walker Monday, August 18, 2021

Bari Manager, Antonio Conte, was attacked by several Lecce fans while seated on a bench watching a game of five against five football. Italian police are currently investigating the incident and hope to make arrests soon.

Conte had been punched in the face several times, after which a number bystanders came to his aid causing the assailants to flee.

What's your opinion, do fanatical fans especially Ultras have to be reined in by the police?

Fantasy Football: English Premier League

Posted by Kevin Walker Thursday, August 14, 2021

I’m yet to find a high quality Serie A fantasy footie game to manage so I still try my hand at picking the best Premier League team just like the rest of you. The English Premier League season starts in two days and surely a number of us have already entered one or more fantasy teams but have you done your research? Have you searched high and low for that ultimate new phenomenon?

In my travels I’ve come across several interesting and helpful sites online, and while some require a fee to enter, others are entirely free and even offer better prizes. Of course the one tool all fantasy gamers require more than anything is a good current events source providing up-to-date player injuries, trades, starting XI changes, I think I discovered just the thing.
It’s called Fantasy Football Scout and contains the latest updated guide to the Premier League 2008-2009 season. Current articles take a look at selecting midfielders, undiscovered gems, sleeping giants and misclassifed strikers. In the words of the site manager, “it’s where a little inspiration with selection can really pay dividends”.

Why don’t you check it out, www[dot]fantasyfootballscout[dot]co[dot]uk

If someone could only copy the scout’s site format and create a sister site for our beloved Serie A that would be impressive. For now English-speaking Serie A fans are stuck like Crusaders at the port of Messina waiting to set sail.

Product Review: Puma v1.08 i FG Speed Boots

Posted by Kevin Walker Sunday, August 10, 2021
Puma's latest boot design the v1.08 is fantastic. The moment I put it on the feeling was sheer comfort. An all-stitch design with a two piece construction outsole helps to keep the weight down and provides that snug pleasurable fit.

The light weight upper has textile material with a reinforced microfiber layer for improved durability, enhanced speed and lightness. I really like the off-center lacing and tongue construction, it allows for a smooth surface feel and absent is any pinching across the top of the forefoot, you really feel the ball when striking.

However, the v1.08's real gem is inside with it's AptoLast feature.
AptoLast provides a glove-like fit by following the contours of your foot and moulding to the wearer. Additionally the carbon fiber chassis makes for the ultimate backbone ensuring stability and support with it's embedded carbon fibers and multi-density framework.

Weighing a mere 7.6 ounces while offering stability and ultimate comfort without sacrificing lightness, the v1.08 is all in all a striker's dream come true.

additional info:

There are currently four colour options,
puma v1.08 i FG red/white/black (as pictured)
puma v1.08 i FG yellow/white/black
puma v1.08 i FG black/darkshadow/white
or the puma v1.08 tricks boot in black/darkshadow/barelyblue

(see video below, for images of the first three colours)

The tricks boot is the latest release of funky colours and PUMA are running an XRAY campaign for the boot so hop over to xrayplayers and discover the bio links on footballers Anelka, Lundberg, Frei and Camoranesi. Ciao
