Juventus Sign Amauri from Palermo

The Old Lady have finalized the transfer of Amauri from Palermo with a £9.8million transfer fee. Amauri agreed to a four-year contract with the Bianconeri which will net him £2.8 to 3million.[1] The original transfer also includes the sale of midfielder Antonio Nocerino for €7.5million paid by three yearly instalments and co-ownership of striker Davide Lanzafame.[2] Juventus have been looking at the Brazilian for some time and negotiations in his transfer was slow and painstaking.

In 52 starts at Palermo the Brazilian forward scored 23 goals. Amauri, has never appeared at the international level for the Brazilian team, and was recently asked to acquire an Italian passport, as he has lived and played in Italy for five years and would be eligible to play for the Italian national team.
