AC Milan Sign Borriello

Marco Borriello’s agent, Tiberio Cavalleri, has confirmed his client will be wearing Rossoneri colours on a permanent basis again after Genoa and Milan finalized his transfer.

The Serie A hit-man was involved in a co-ownership deal with both the Rossoneri and the Grifoni. Borriello scored 19 goals in Serie A this term and is on international duty this summer with the Azzurri at Euro 2008. After his impressive performances this season, Milan have been keen on getting him back.

“Milan have made an important investment, it’s around €10million and they have included young midfielder Di Gennaro in the deal, said Cavalleri, continuing, “I believe that Milan will have every intention of playing him as a first team striker following their heavy investment.”

Moving in the opposite direction will be Alberto Gilardino who left the Rossoneri for Fiorentina on Wednesday in a deal worth €13million (£10.4million). Clearly Milan have wasted little time in finding his replacement for the new season.
