Almost a year ago to the day Juventus have claimed back to back titles. Last season it was in Trieste away to Cagliari, this season in front of the home fans at home to Palermo.

The lunch time kick off on Sunday was in Udine as Udinese took on Sampdoria. The home side won 3-1 thanks to two goals from Antonio Di Natale and Luis Muriel. Eder got the only goal for Sampdoria.

Lazio hit six at home to Bologna who look like they are on their holidays already, Miroslav Klose hit the headline in this game thanks to five goals yes five goals. Hernanes got the other with a goal of the season contender from the Brazilian. An elegant curled effort into the top corner.

Parma won 2-0 at home against Atalanta thanks to goals in each half from Marco Parolo and Jonathan Biabany.

Genoa eased their relegation fears with an emphatic 4-1 home win over Pescara who have now been relegated. Genoa took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals form Antonio Floro Flores and Marco Borriello then Pescara pulled one back from Giuseppe Sculli. Then two goals in the second half for Genoa came from Marco Borriello and Andrea Bertolacci.

Catania was very impressive at home to relegation threatened Siena winning 3-0. A hat-trick from Argentine striker Gonzalo Bergassio he was the hero for Catania. Siena had to play for ten men when Felipe was sent off.

AC Milan huffed and puffed at home to Torino and got the winner six minutes from time. Mario Balotelli got the only goal of the game from close range and saved AC Milan blushes.

In the sunshine of Turin Juventus were crowned champions after a nervy 1-0 win over Palermo. The only goal of the game came in the second half and it came from the penalty spot. Arturo Vidal converted to ease the nerves. Paul Pogba was then sent off for spitting in the direction of Salvatore Aronica.

The last game of the weekend action is Napoli against Inter, Napoli took the lead after three minutes thanks to Edinson Cavani, then Inter pulled one back from the penalty spot after Ricky Alvarez was fouled. Alvarez converted the spot kick to equalise. Then at the other end Napoli were awarded Penalty. Edinson Cavani converted and notched up his 100th strike for the club. Edinson Cavani completed his hat-trick late on in the second half, sliding home from close range from a Goran Pandev cross.
