Serie A 2011/2012: Top Five Goals of Week 35

We are in the final weeks of a compelling Serie A season and to top it off, we could see a big club get relegated this season to Serie B. Genoa have been in freefall and not have won in the league since early February. Genoa sit one point above the relegation zone and a rejuvenated Lecce side under Serse Cosmi are gunning for them.

Here are the top five goals from Week 35 in Serie A.

5. Marquinho Roma vs. Napoli

A lovely one-two that slice the Napoli defence open between Aleandro Rosi and Francesco Totti, it ended up with the right back crossing in for Marquinho to stab home.

4. Edinson Cavani Roma vs. Napoli

This was Napoli second goal and it was on the counter attack. Goran Pandev slipped the ball to Edinson Cavani who was one on one with Simon Kjaer, the forward opened up his body and curled a beautiful effort past Bogdan Lobont.

3. Juan Zuniga Roma vs. Napoli

A short corner was played into the Columbian wing back and Zuniga let fly from twenty five yards which flew past Lobont in the Roma goal.

2. Sebastian Giovinco Lecce vs. Parma

The little playmaker opened the scoring for Parma with a wonderful effort. A twenty five yard free kick curled over the wall and left the Lecce keeper flat footed.

1 Antonio Nocerino Siena vs. AC Milan

The Italian midfielder picked the ball on the centre circle and ran through the Siena defence wriggling through challenge after challenge before slamming the ball into the back of the net.

A Football fan for around 18 years since the age of 6 years old. My first love is Swindon town now managed by the mad man that is Paolo Di Canio. I have been a fan of Italian football for around 10-15 years now since the Channel four days back in the Uk with James Richardson. I am a Roma fan as well and i have been following the club since 2003 with the attack minded football with Totti and Cassano.
