Serie A returned this weekend after the winter break and there was some cracking action to start 2012. Inter Milan, Siena and Udinese had massive victories. While Lazio, Parma and Cesena all started 2012 miserably and the fans were thinking if their players were on holidays.

Here are the top five goals

5. Antonio Di Natale Udinese-Cesena
Great start for Udinese as Antonio Floro Flores was played in and he crossed in for Antonio Di Natale who slid home to score from close range.

4. Dusan Basta Udinese-Cesena
A fantastic 25 yard dipping effort which flew past the Cesena keeper

3. Edinson Cavani Palermo-Napoli
The ball was played to Cavani on the left-hand side who curled it into the top right hand corner. Edinson Cavani then showed class by not celebrating, what a brilliant performance.

2. Riccardo Montolivo Novara-Fiorentina
A lovely goal by the Fiorentina midfielder, the ball was played down the left-hand side as Montolivo cut in from the left and chipped a lovely lob over the Novara keeper

1. Davide Faroni Inter Milan- Parma
This was the youngster’s first goal for the first team and what a goal, a cross in from the left hand side was headed away from the Parma defence and it fell to Faroni who with a short back lift unleashed a brilliant half volley was flew past the Parma keeper in off the crossbar.
