The post Bayern Munich interview with Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini bears bad fruit as the Italian describes the bench scene at Allianz Arena with Carlos Tevez’s refusal to play for the Blues. The visitors are already down by two goal when Mancini motioned for the Argentine forward to sub on for the final 30 minutes.

To counter the claims of the last 12 hours the player has release a statement of his own, “There was some confusion on the bench and I believe my position may have been misunderstood. Going forward I am ready to play when required and to fulfil my obligations.”, which was in contrast to Tevez’s remarks immediately after the match. 

“He [Tevez] is one bad apple,” said Graeme Souness (former Liverpool manager) to Sky Sports 2 last night.  Souness continued, “He can undo all the good work that has been done [at City]. He’s a disgrace to football. He epitomises what the man in the street thinks is wrong with modern football.”
