Poll: Which Serie A club to win Scudetto this season?
Already into match day one and surprises from both away sides as newcomers Cesena and Genoa share in the spoils.
Roma 0-0 Cesena
No Party no Totti? usually the rally cry (or excuse) but it was no party Saturday in the Roman capital even with their talisman Francesco in the starting XI.
Cesena keeper Francesco Antonioli made a fabulous start between the sticks for his promoted squad, as the visitors held hosts AS Roma to a scoreless draw late Saturday, at the stadio Olimpico.
The 40-year-old former Roma alumni, was most definitely man of the match, making repeated saves from point blank range inside the closing 20-minutes. A final opportunity to change events during extra time, with a wicked one-two between Roma’s Totti and Brighi (sending the latter clean through on goal) was snuffed out as keeper Antonioli rushed forward like Usain Bolt to extinguish the last chance tie-breaker!
Having earned successive promotions from the third tier of Italian football, Cesena are rank outsiders in Serie A for the 2010-2011 season. Today’s result earned them a well earned point with 37 matches to go.
LineUps
Roma: Julio Cesar; Cassetti, Mexes, Juan, Riise; Perrotta (Okaka 78), Pizarro, De Rossi (Brighi 74); Menez (Taddei 64); Totti, Vucinic

Udinese 0-1 Genoa
In other action, Udinese was upset in front of their fans at the Stadio Friuli in Udine.
A lone goal from Bari born Giandomenico Mesto in the 81th minute, was all that was needed to steal all 3 points from the little zebras.
