AS Roma Sign Fabio Simplicio

AS Roma officially announced today that they aquired Palermo midfielder, Fabio Simplicio. Fabio’s contract with Palermo expired this past season, and he was linked with a move to Roma. Fabio signed a 3 year deal with the capitol club. It will be interesting to see where he fits into the team next season, as Roma are looking to win the Scudetto and make a strong appearance in the Champions League.

So far this is Roma’s first big signing since the end of the season. Luca Toni’s future remains to be seen, as other clubs have taken interest in him and Roma may not be able to buy him off of Bayern Munich. There is still no final word on Flaemgo striker Adriano’s possible move to Roma. There are also plenty of rumors swirling around Daniele De Rossi’s possible move to Real Madrid. Sources are saying that Mourinho really wants him on the team, and they are again throwing big numbers around the press. Losing De Rossi could be a huge loss to Roma, especially going into the Champions League. As a Roma fan I truly hope that transfer doesn’t happen.
